Carl Thrasher, President
Carl graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. He became a CPA in 1976 and has been in public practice for more than 35 years. He currently serves as Vice President on the board for the Christian Community Service Center of Houston. He is a member of AICPA and TSCPA. Carl formed Thrasher & Associates in 1996.

Mike Whelen, Principal
Mike graduated from Louisiana State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree Accounting. In 1988, he received a Masters of Taxation degree from Bentley College. He has been a CPA since 1988 and has been in public practice for more than 20 years. Mike has been with Thrasher & Associates since its formation in 1996. He is a member of AICPA and TSCPA.

Serena Ontiveros, Staff Accountant
Serena joined Thrasher & Associates in January 2008. She graduated in 2006 from Sam Houston University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. In 2007, Serena graduated from SHSU with a Master of business Administration in Accounting. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Chi, Golden Key and Beta Gamma Sigma.

James Campbell, Staff Accountant
James joined Thrasher & Associates in August 2009. He graduated in 2008 from Louisiana State University, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In 2009, James graduated from Louisiana State University with a Master of Science in Accounting. He is a member of Foureaux Society, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Beta Alpha Psi.

Sue Redden, Associate Accountant
Sue joined Thrasher & Associates in 1996. She has over 30 years experience in accounting and bookkeeping working in the fields of Oil and Gas, Builders' Supplies, retail and wholesale, entertainment and interior design. She is a member of The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
